What actions should students undertake when transferring to each state or territory during Years 7 - 10?
What actions should students undertake when transferring to each state or territory after having just completed Year 10?

What actions should students undertake when transferring to Queensland during Years 7-10?

Students planning to transfer to Queensland during Years 7-10 should obtain the following information from their current school:

  • copies of their reports
  • other evidence of their attainments
  • details of courses studied at their school.

This information should be presented to the principal of the receiving school.

Students transferring during Year 10 will have their attainments in all similar courses (based on the assessment details provided by the previous school) recognised by the receiving school.

What actions should students undertake when transferring to Queensland after having just completed Year 10?

Students who transfer after having just completed Year 10 should obtain the following information from the school they have just left:

  • copies of their reports
  • other evidence of their attainments
  • details of courses studied at their school.

This information should be presented to the principal of the receiving school.

Year 10 students in Queensland are required to:

  • complete Senior Education and Training Plans (which detail what, where and how students will study during their senior phase of learning)
  • be registered with the Queensland Curriculum and Assessment Authority
  • bank credits in their learning accounts (which records details of learning and results of any completed studies).
