Students should obtain copies of school reports and other evidence of achievement, and details of study undertaken in their previous school. This information should be presented to the principal of the receiving school.

Parents/guardians will need to supply the new school with current information on legal and medical matters related to the student, and a current residential address.

What actions should students undertake when transferring to Tasmania having just completed Year 10?

Students should obtain copies of school reports and other evidence of achievement, and details of study undertaken in their previous school, and any completion certificate obtained. This information should be presented to the course counselling staff of the senior secondary college, polytechnic, academy or school during the enrolment process.

The subjects offered in senior secondary colleges and schools are, in general, available to all students who have completed, or considered to have completed, Year 10. Colleges and schools may specify achievement levels for enrolment in pre-tertiary subjects. Course counselling staff will assist interstate or overseas students with information and guidance in relation to this.
