Parents and caregivers of students transferring to schools interstate must sign a consent form to agree to the transfer of information. This ensures legislative privacy requirements are met. Completion of the Interstate Student Data Transfer Note by the relinquishing school flags any areas that the student’s new school needs to be aware of. It is important that the student’s new school seeks the information and the student’s previous school responds quickly (a turnaround target of 5 working days has been set) to ensure the information is available when the student’s transition is planned and implemented.
